Access for everyone

Accessibility

We want youth, families, caregivers, partners, and community members to be able to use our information and connect with us.

Our accessibility target

This website is designed toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA and includes the Level A and AA requirements used by Ontario’s accessible website rules where applicable. A public launch still requires organizational review, content review, and testing with assistive technologies and people with disabilities.

Accessibility features

  • A visible skip link and semantic page landmarks
  • Logical headings and one descriptive main heading per page
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, links, forms, and FAQ accordions
  • Visible focus indicators and minimum touch target sizes
  • Text alternatives for informative images
  • Responsive layouts that support zoom and small screens
  • Reduced-motion support
  • Print-friendly contact and crisis information
  • No autoplaying media, flashing content, trackers, or remote fonts

Using this site

You can navigate by keyboard with Tab and Shift+Tab, open links with Enter, and operate FAQ sections with the native keyboard controls supported by your browser. On small screens, the menu button reports whether the menu is open and can be closed with Escape.

The site supports browser zoom. Text and content should remain usable at 200 percent zoom without horizontal scrolling at common viewport sizes.

Available formats and communication support

Contact FNP to request information in an alternate or accessible format, or to discuss communication support. Please tell us what format or assistance would work best for you. Response timing and available formats must be confirmed by the organization.

Known limitations and feedback

This local build uses system fonts when the brand fonts are not installed. External websites are outside FNP’s control and may have different accessibility support. If you encounter a barrier, include the page, the task you were trying to complete, your device or browser if known, and the format you need. Do not include urgent, crisis, or highly sensitive personal health information in ordinary email.
